A chorus I wrote to accompany the Ratboy story, which isn't on my Songs from the Stories album and which I often sing when touring schools

You would sit by the wall at the edge of our school yard,
The lads they would taunt you to preve they were well hard,
In defence you would fight, chase 'em to kingdom come,
'Til Margret said "Ratboy, you're done!"

(Chorus) Ratboy O' Boy, what are you doin' now?
Are you workin' down Tesco? Is your Mrs a cow?
Did you get out of Fishmoor? Are you still on the run?
Ratboy I hope that you've won.

Well you were picked by our teacher to race the cross country.
In that cobbled up kit, man, you looked like a monkey.
You shook on the line, even jumped at the gun!
'Til somesaid "Ratboy, just run!" (That was me)

About half an hour later this straggly figure,
Flew round t' race track towards us never gettin' much bigger.
We all stood incredulous. This couldn't be done?
'Til Norman said "Ratboy, you've won!"
